Day One -Morning Session:
Tint Paint Showroom- Colour
Begin the day inside Tint Paint Studio with a guided session
exploring how designers approach colour consultation and paint specification.
Together we’ll explore:
• understanding undertones and orientation
• selecting finishes and paint systems
• how designers confidently specify colour within client projects
• Developing colour direction in context
• Translating concept into curated sourcing
Curated Supplier Walk -Procure
Next we’ll visit a selection of curated suppliers and stores that Alessandra &
Design School team regularly works with when sourcing for projects.
You’ll:
• meet store owners and suppliers
• learn how designers build trade relationships
• understand where professionals source materials and objects

Day One - Afternoon Session:
Studio BASE & Furnishd — Curate
Step inside two of Melbourne’s leading design supply spaces to explore how decorators and designers curate palettes through finishes, materials and samples.
We’ll discuss how professionals build layered material schemes and refine colour
direction through texture and surface.
Project Walkthrough — Real Application
We’ll finish the day visiting a completed project by Alessandra Smith, seeing how colour and material selections translate into a finished interior.
You’ll hear firsthand how the project came together — from specification to final installation.
This is not a passive workshop.
Participants will walk, discuss, analyse and question within the spaces designers actively specify from.
