The Masterclass
An immersive two-part learning experience combining in-person sourcing and professional procurement systems training.
Day 1- Morning Session:
2-3 hour Colour Development Workshop
Hands-on colour palette creation and finish pairing at Porter’s Paints, Fitzroy.
Day 1- Afternoon Session:
Guided Fitzroy Sourcing Walk
Visits to curated textile, material, and artisan showrooms with Ally & Design School team
Day 2- Alternate Day Session:
Procurement Session (On-line)
Delivered in collaboration with Programa, covering procurement workflows, ordering systems, and supplier coordination.

Alessandra Smith is a Design School Online graduate and working interior decorator and colour specialist recognised for her refined palette development, layered material sourcing, and editorial-driven approach to spatial styling. Through her studio practice, she collaborates across residential, styling, and editorial projects, developing colour narratives that translate concept into cohesive, buildable schemes.
Her work and projects have been featured across leading design publications and platforms such as Home Beautiful, The Design Files, Livingetc, Habitus Living & Kanebridge Quarterly, reflecting her ability to combine aesthetic sensitivity with practical sourcing and procurement expertise.
In this masterclass, Ally shares the real studio workflows she uses to develop colour concepts, curate furniture, objects, materials and art, and manage sourcing and procurement, giving participants practical systems they can immediately apply to professional projects.
