Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)

How does RPL work?

The process involves an assessment-only pathway, including conversation, answering questions, completing tasks and observations, making it an enjoyable way to explore and assess your experience. You can apply your expertise toward the full qualification or select subjects based on your unique background. If there are gaps in your knowledge or skills, we can conduct partial training delivery to address and assess them.

What do I need?

We will assist you in what evidence you need to provide, including a potential portfolio of work and references from employers and clients, where needed. Previous studies in other design-related areas can also be considered, even if the subjects are outdated or have been superseded.

How much does it cost?

The full MSF40122 Certificate IV in Interior Decoration through RPL is significantly more affordable compared to the full-time study option, usually around half the rate in study fees.

How long does the process take?

Each RPL timeframe is different, as it is based on an individual's work history. However, the main difference you'll notice is the speed of assessment, in contrast to studying full-time for the qualification, which takes around 12 months.
